the art of memory: ed cooke lectures at princeton, june 17

My friend Greg has organized a lecture by Grand Master of Memory and MemRise co-founder Ed Cooke. Here are some YouTube videos for a teaser. I have personally seen Ed memorize 120 decimal digits, pseudorandomly generated on the spot, in two minutes; he is the real deal, and he’s a great speaker.

The lecture, “The Art of Memory,” is free and open to the public; it’ll take place in the Betts auditorium (room N-101) of the architecture building at Princeton at 8:00 pm on June 17. I’ll be out of town, but you should go.
